- Abstract
Natural history museums have been recognized as great resources for promoting science learning, so scholars in museum studies and educators have tried to acquire a better understanding of natural history and natural history museums as valiable educational settings (Choi et al., 2004). Then, the way in which the common perceptions among visitors are made and what is a myth is among museum staffs are important questions to ask. The purpose of this study was to evaluate how general public and professionals view natural history museums and develop scales based on DeVillis' generalizability theory (2003).
