- Title
Sipping Red Wine May Ward off your gum disease now, you can sip on Wine guilt-free!
- Abstract
A new study suggests that sipping red wine may help combat gum disease by fighting harmful bacteria and pathogens in the mouth. The study found that red wine contains polyphenols, which are rich in antioxidants and can protect oral health. When combined with an oral probiotic, the polyphenols were even more effective at fending off pathogenic bacteria. The study also found that certain polyphenols in red wine were better at reducing bacteria's ability to stick to teeth and gums. However, it is important to consume wine in moderation to prevent the overall risk of developing cancer.
