- Abstract
To develop the automobile interior decoration composite board, needled felt was pre-pared with polypropylene fiber (PP), glass fiber (GF) and jute fiber as raw materials through needled strengthening process. GF content, jute fiber content and needling density taken as factors, the tensile strength of needle-punched felt as index, the orthogonal test of three factors and three levels was designed to optimize the needling process. The composite sheet were prepared by using the best needling process parameters and the drying and cold pressing process. The internal structure of the material was characterized by scanning electron microscope and its basic physical properties were tested. The results show that GF content and jute fiber content have significant influence on the tensile strength of needled-punched felt; the primary and secondary factors affecting the tensile strength of the felt are GF content, jute fiber content and needling density; the optimized needling process parameters are PP/GF/jute fiber ratio 60 : 20 : 20, needling density 300 needling/cm" ; the fibers are well bonded and evenly distributed; the tensile and bending properties of the felt meet the requirements of the car coat and hat rack, and the flame retardant performance meets the standard.
