- Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Arabic version of the Valencia Eustress-Distress Appraisal Scale (VEDAS). The study sample consisted of 318 Jordanian workers. After completing the data collection, and based on the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, it was found that VEDAS had suitable validity and reliability indications. The VEDAS Scale was shown to have four dimensions of Eustress–Distress. These dimensions were relationships, personal responsibility, workload and balance between home and work. The Arabic version was shown to have satisfactory internal consistency and validity for Eustress-Distress. It is considered to be one of the promising scales that can be used in the Arab environment by researchers and practitioners interested in the fields of psychological and social sciences.
