- Abstract
This document provides a summary of archaeological findings in various locations in the southern counties of England. In Bedfordshire, a trial trench evaluation revealed an Iron Age/Roman settlement and agricultural activity. In East Sussex, fieldwork uncovered an extensive farmstead and ladder-type settlement from the Iron Age to Roman period. In Kent, evaluations and excavations uncovered evidence of Iron Age/Roman settlements, ritualistic enclosures, and agricultural and industrial activities. In Surrey, excavations revealed late Iron Age/early Roman features, including a large enclosure, roundhouses, and evidence of metalworking. The document provides a brief overview of each site's findings and ongoing post-excavation work.
