- Abstract
The article discusses the accomplishments of the Spanish-Jewish physician David Caslari who lived in Catalonia in the 14th century. He is regarded as one most prominent physicians of his time and credited with translating Latin manuscripts into Hebrew. An analysis of his translating technique is presented along with criticisms that he was at times inconsistent in his terminology. The problems he encountered in determining correct technical and philosophical terms are also discussed.
