- Abstract
We have developed a new approach that allows the surface-density distribution in flat finite-radius galactic disk models to be reconstructed from an arbitrary smooth angular-velocity distribution. Upper limits for the disk mass and radius are shown to exist for a wide class of rotation curves analytically extended to the unseen part of the disk.© 2003 MAIK “Nauka / Interperiodica”.
