- Abstract
The article discusses Canoe Journey, an annual event held in the state of Washington designed to maintain and promote Native American traditions, with a particular focus on peoples of the American Northwest. Details on the 2012 event, which was hosted by the Squaxin Island Tribe in Olympia, Washington, are presented. The 2013 event, which will be held on Thursday, August 1 at Point Grenville, Washington and hosted by the Quinault Indian Nation, is also discussed.
