- Abstract
The article examines the history surrounding the Pigford v. Glickman litigation, and concludes that the U.S. Congress should enact a Distributive Justice Fund based on the structure of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF). Topics discussed include history of Black farmland ownership, dispossession of Black-owned farmland, and racial discrimination by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the settlement agreements in Pigford and Black Farmers litigation.
