Title
Aerobic fitness predicts standardized test scores.
Abstract
The article reports on results of a study which showed consistent positive associations between standardized test scores and aerobic fitness among almost 2,000 ethnically diverse children in California schools. The study also revealed consistent inverse associations between body mass index (BMI-for-age and these scores. It noted that the differences are still significant after controlling for socioeconomic status, age, sex and ethnicity.
