- Abstract
The article discusses two innovative design models of urban green spaces in China: the Jiaxing Southwest Lake Park and the Xi'an Zaohe Sponge River. These projects aim to balance development with ecological preservation and address environmental concerns while improving residents' quality of life. The Jiaxing Southwest Lake Park features a web of skywalks that protect urban nature and connect adjacent neighborhoods, while the Xi'an Zaohe Sponge River project transforms a polluted waterway into a dynamic ecological vein. Both projects demonstrate how innovative design can strike a balance between human and natural needs in highly urbanized environments.
