DEMY IN THE NEW HOLLYWOOD: MODEL SHOP.
- Authors
RAMAEKER, PAUL
- Abstract
An analysis of the film "Model Shop" directed by Jacques Demy is presented. It examines the film relationship with New Hollywood, the studio system of the motion picture industry in the late 1960s and early 1970s defined by youth-focused and art-cinematic productions. Particular attention is also given to the French Demy's experiences in American cinema as well as how "Model Shop" reflects Demy's body of work.
