- Abstract
The article provides information concerning on pollution in the U.S. Pollution can be defined as the undesirable state of the natural environment being contaminated with harmful substances because of human activities. Pollution is categorized into two ways, including the point source pollution and nonpoint source pollution. Point source pollution are those coming directly from an identifiable source, such as an oil tanker running aground and leaking crude oil onto the shore or a factory discharging waste into a ditch. Nonpoint source pollution can occur in rural, urban, and suburban communities.
