- Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive study on the training and experience of American instructors in survey courses in physical science. The study indicated that instructors in junior colleges most frequently have a physical science major. The instructors in high school and colleges has averaged over ten years of teaching experience. The most frequent graduate majors of these instructors were chemistry and physics for those instructors teaching in colleges and education for those teaching in high schools.
