- Abstract
In this article the author describes how he and his colleagues started a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concept at State College Area School District's Park Forest Middle School in State College, Pennsylvania. The STEM initiative involves a vision of a new teacher service committee to address the need and focused on a group of open-minded, professionally motivated science, technology and mathematics teachers. It is noted that the initiative provided an educational medium relevant to current technological needs.
