- Abstract
Structure and properties of Ti–7.5Mo alloy are found sensitive to the solution treatment of the alloy. The alloy solution‐treated for 1 min is comprised of equi‐axed, retained β phase mixed with fine, acicular‐shaped α′ phase, while the alloy treated for longer times primarily has an orthorhombic, fine acicular α″ phase. Among all samples, the alloy treated for 1 min has the highest YS, UTS, and modulus values with the lowest elongation.
