- Abstract
This meta-analysis compared outcomes after invasive versus conservative management of NSTEMI in older patients. A search of MEDLINE, Web of Science and Scopus identified six randomised controlled trials (n=1479) that investigated routine invasive and conservative strategies in patients aged >70 years with NSTEMI and were suitable for inclusion. Meta-analysis of individual participant data from the trials showed that 24.5% of participants who received invasive management compared with 28.9% who received conservative management achieved the composite primary endpoint of all-cause mortality or MI at 1 year (p=ns).
