WOODWARD, RICHARD
- Abstract
The article offers the author's views on the differences between noneism and allism. He says that noneism believes that there is no non-existent object, while allism believes that every object has its being; thus, do not consider non-existent objects. He notes that philosophers find allism intelligible as it has standard ideas on existence and agrees with Quinean slogan, unlike noneist. He cites the view of David Lewis on the need to take different interpretation to make noneism intelligible.
