- Title
Preparing for Your Child's Sedation Visit.
- Abstract
The article presents a permission form concerning sedation of children during dental procedures. The form states that sedation is not intended to make patients unresponsive or unconscious and mentions that side effects with some children can include crying or agitation which might prevent the completion of dental procedures. It gives instructions for parents or legal guardians concerning food and liquid intake by child patients prior to sedation, revealing any prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal medications taken by the child, and changes in the health or medical condition of the child. It also presents instructions for parents or legal guardians after the sedation appointment ends.
