- Abstract
The family's support in the school development of their children is essential. And in the pandemic, during the emergency remote education, the family's role became more evident, since the school started to be present, also in the family environment. Thus, this experience report aims to describe the experience lived in the Pedagogical Residency Program regarding the importance of the family in the learning activities during the period of emergency remote teaching, in a 3rd grade high school class of a state school in the city of Arapiraca, Alagoas. The methodology used was the experience report with the application of a questionnaire via telephone call to the students' parents and/or guardians. From the data analysis it was possible to verify that the family influence directly affects the students' school development process, because the less oriented and motivated the parents or guardians are, the greater will be the students' lack of interest and attendance in relation to class participation.
