- Abstract
In this study, the changes in the coordinates of 18 cadastral sites (C1 and C2) located within the borders of İzmir after the 30 October 2020 (Mw: 6.9) Samos earthquake were investigated. Coordinate changes of the post-earthquake periods (2020-2021 and 2021-2022) were calculated as 1-35 and 1-40 mm, respectively. Maximum coordinate changes are at SFRH (~35 mm) and KBR5 (~40 mm) sites close to the earthquake. Although the BSYL site is the farthest site from the earthquake epicenter, it shows a 38 mm change in NE direction. When the results are examined, it is evaluated that both the establishment of new sites should be avoided and updates should be made in the cadastral sites due to the velocity differences in the postearthquake periods. This shows that different results can be obtained if the sites affected by the earthquake are used in cadastral studies by transforming coordinates with preearthquake velocities.
