- Abstract
The objective of the study was to characterize morphoagronomically 17 genotypes of hose, in relation to resistance to anthracnose. The work was carried out in the field and the evaluations were carried out by two evaluators on two sides of the plant, with randomized sampling. The severity of the disease in the panicle was measured by scale of notes: 1 - developing flowers and fruits without symptoms of anthracnose; 2 - up to 50% of the affected flowers; 3 - symptoms in developing flowers and fruits and rachis; 4 - fully attacked and blackened. In leaves, in relation to the percentage of leaf area with symptoms: 1 - between 1% and 2%, 2 - 2% and 5%, 3 - 5% and 10%, 4 - 10% and 20%, 5 - 20% and 40% and 6 - above 40%. In the fruit, how much the percentage of affected area: 1 - between 1% and 5%, 2 - between 5% and 10%, 3 - between 10% and 20%, 4 - 20% and 30%, 5 - between 30% and 50%, and 6 - between 50% and 70%. The data were submitted to the F test of the analysis of variance. An analysis of UPGMA clusters based on Mahalanobis distance was also performed. The genotypes were distinguished into five groups. The group formed by the genotypes Rosa 46, Rosa 36, CPAC 22/93 and Roxa Embrapa 141, showed a greater incidence and severity in the anthracnose lesions observed in panicles, leaves and fruit. The Red Sword genotype was isolated in the dendrogram, as well as the Azenha genotype, both of which correspond to materials that showed a lower incidence of lesions when compared to the aforementioned ones. Palmer, Rosa 02, Omega, Tommy Atkins, CPAC 58/95, Alpha and CPAC 263/94 grouped together as intermediate genotypes. CPAC 165/93, Lita, Beta, and CPAC 329/94 were categorized as anthracnose-resistant.
