- Abstract
Driving test is an important method to comprehensively evaluate the performance of gasoline engine oil. The self-developed coal based 5W-30 gasoline engine oil and commercial SN 5W-30 gasoline engine oil were tested and studied by driving test for 10 000 km. The physical and chemical properties of used oil under different driving mileage were analyzed according to the national standard GB/T 8028—2010.The results show that after the 10 000 km driving test, the performance indicators of both gasoline engine oils did not exceed the requirements for oil change, and there is still a significant performance margin. Compared to the commercial SN 5W-30 gasoline engine, the self-developed coal based gasoline engine oil has a smaller increase in iron content and acid value, and a larger residual base value after driving test, exhibiting better lubrication, oxidation resistance, wear resistance, and clean dispersion performance.
