- Abstract
Since the establishment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations (UN), Mexico has made efforts to achieve the 17 proposed objectives. Higher Education Institutions, specifically Business Schools, have in their hands the opportunity and the responsibility to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, because the professional profile of the Bachelor of Accounting allows to directly contribute to sustainable development through fiscal aspects, financing, business development, environmental accounting and environmental auditing in organizations. This research allows to know the perception of the students who study from the fifth semester of the Bachelor of Accounting in Xalapa, schooled system, of the Universidad Veracruzana, regarding education for sustainable development in the social, economic and environmental dimensions, as well as its relationship with the professional profile of the Accountant. From the application of a survey with a Likert scale to a stratified sample of 206 students, results obtained will direct the efforts and institutional actions to strengthen their graduation profile, allowing them to make decisions in organizations that impact sustainable development.
