- Abstract
The article focuses on the implant method based on osseeointegration of special titanium implants which support fixed protheses. A study was conducted to find the prosthodontic results in patients with tissue-integrated prosthesis (TIP) treatment. The study found that during the follow-up period of three to six years nearly half of the patients had not experienced any complications. It was also found that anchorage of the fixtures integrated at the time of insertion of the TIP was extremely good during the follow-up period. However, a relatively high rate of midline fractures of the maxillary denture was observed as a consequence of the improved masticatory function in the rehabilitated patients.
