The article reports stories about embryologist Robert Edwards in the 1970s. A total of 31 people gave their tributes and testimonies about the work of Edwards and doctors who worked with him witnessed his conviction that in vitro fertilization (IVF) would someday have a huge impact on reproductive medicine. It mentions that the first IVF baby, Louise Brown was born in 1978 and Doctor Patrick Steptoe, the gynecologist and obstetrician who works with Edwards on the IVF, was the attending doctor.
