The article discusses a pilot study examining the impacts of increased availability of fresh fruit and vegetables at low-income neighborhood convenience stores in the U.S. Topics include a discussion on the outcomes of two hypotheses, based on theories of technology adoption, that were tested in regard to the lack of fresh produce in low-income neighborhood stores and barriers to offering fresh produce, such as variable management costs.
