- Abstract
The article reports that early and constant use of sunscreens is effective in the prevention of photo-damage. Benzophenones are now frequently incorporated into sunscreens, facial cosmetics, hair sprays, hair dyes, perfumes, shampoos, detergents and shaving creams. They also protect ingredients of cosmetics from degradation by ultra violet. Several cases of contact and photocontact dermatitis from sunscreen categories. Eusolex 8020, Eusolex 6300 and especially 8021 have been reported. The problem is sufficiently well-known for some manufacturers to have substituted for Eusolex 8021 and their products.
