- Abstract
The article focuses on the origin of eubacteria with three L7/L12 protein dimers in the ribosome. It infers that L7 and L12 proteins are components of the so-called L7/L12 stem of the eubacterial ribosome large subunit. It discusses the L7/L12 dimers content of Escherica coli ribosome as well as Thermotoga maritima and Thermus thermophilus. The characteristic of eubacteria is also discussed.
