- Abstract
This paper makes a comparative regional economic conditions has had the Nariño department at the behavior of macroeconomic indicators recorded statistically national institutions (DANE, DIAN) in southwestern Colombia. Bilateral trade of consumer products through the southern border has generated changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), inflation, unemployment, revaluation and devaluation of the Colombian peso against the dollar. Parallel exchange rates that are traded on the southern border, forces us to study and understand the causes and effects that arise from daily flows of goods traded legally and illegally, with volumes of buying and selling affects relatively the welfare of neighboring communities. Knowing the historical behavior of Colombian macroeconomics and its impact on regional trade activities of Nariño, as the only territory where two (2) market (purchase and sale of Colombians and Ecuadorians who are part of the regional food basket), which operate simultaneously within ten (10) municipalities border zones (Law 191 of 1995). These indicators have been studied using the analytical-descriptive modeling and comparison of data on comparative qualitative comparisons and time series, applied to businesses that have permanent influence exchange, customs, geopolitics, logistics and meso, from context of tradeenvironment- border-region, predominant. This, from a regional perspective intra border, where the increase of bilateral trade, leaves its effect on sur rounding communities by Andean border laces (Ipiales-Tulcán), peaceful (Esmeraldas-Tumaco) and Amazon (San Miguel - Lago Agrio).
