- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the relationship between Danish and Andean Peronospora farinosa isolates from quinoa, a seed crop which originated from Bolivia and Peru. The study extracted DNA samples from 24 Danish isolates and 16 Andean isolates collected during the 2001 and 2002 seasons and used universally primed-polymerase chain reaction (UC-PCR) amplification to compare their genotypic variation. Results show that the Danish and Andean isolates are distinct from each other.
