An editorial is presented on damaged skin promoting food-induced anaphylaxis by driving intestinal mast cells (MC) expansion. Topics include patients with an IgE-mediated food allergy suffering from a variety of symptoms such as gastrointestinal, skin, lungs, and anaphylaxis; and sensitization to food allergens being measured with the Skin Prick test (SPT) and/or specific serum IgE (sIgE).
