- Title
Palaeoclimate: A fresh look at Arctic ice sheets.
- Authors
Brigham-Grette, Julie
- Abstract
The article discusses ice sheets in Eurasia that has been terminated at the edge of the Laptev Sea, Russia during the Last Glacial Maximum, focusing on the seismic data suggesting that a separate ice sheet was repeatedly centered further east during the early glacial period. It explores a study by Niessen and colleagues which identifies subglacial and ice-marginal land forms supporting the findings of repeated existence of grounded glacial ice on the continental shelf of the East Siberian Sea.
