- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examined important geoarchaeological challenges in Aegean coastal areas associated with sea-level changes during the Holocene period. Information on factors that influenced the initial environmental status of Aegean coastal sites is provided. A glacial-hydro isotactic model was applied to the Aegean Sea. Results of the study showed that the average rate of sea-level rise during the Middle and Upper Holocene was one millimeter per year.
