- Abstract
The article analyzes the "Tamburlaine" plays published by Renaissance English playwright and poet Christopher Marlowe in response of the 1590 Faerie Queene and that Xenophon's Cyropaedia's appearance which informed their conception. He explains the difference and pointing to more clearly literary and authorial productions. He also mentions several notable persons such as Richard Jones, J. S. Cunningham, and Ben Jonson.
