- Authors
Haran, Barnaby
- Abstract
The article looks into the work of photographer Paul Strand and his time spent in the American Southwest between 1930 and 1932. He is noted for his work that captured the phenomena of nature itself – trees, rocks, vegetation and the author explores how he delved into objects, people, the environment, and their interconnectedness. His friendship with Harold Clurman, the director of the Group Theatre, is also examined in depth as is their dialogue and correspondence.
