- Title
The Holy Act: Emulating G-d in Marriage and Childbirth.
- Authors
Kuhr, Murray D.
- Abstract
The article offers information about the nature of God's image in a piece of the first description of the creation of man. The biblical commentator Rashi explains that the first image of God is the human image, which includes male and female. Moreover, in the Zohar, the most important work of Kabbalah, the image God's was reconstituted after it achieved the marital union, an act which emulates God and attains the essence of holiness. Two works describing the mechanism for reaching holiness are also presented such as "The Holy Gate," and "The Holy Letter."
