- Abstract
The article examines the social market model of capitalism in Germany and compares its economic growth versus Great Britain after the 2008 financial crisis. It looks at the efforts to harmonise laws in Great Britain with draft directives on worker participation in the European Union. An overview of a recommendation of the Bullock Committee on labour relations is presented. Emphasis on enhanced employee influence in correcting flaws of corporate governance is also given.
