- Abstract
The article discusses a single-center observational study conducted in the Netherlands to assess the diagnostic performance of the Kigali modification of the Berlin definition for moderate and severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in invasively ventilated critically ill patients. A 12-region examination protocol was applied for lung ultrasound (LUS). Results showed that the sensitivity of the Kigali modification was high, but its specificity was moderate.
