- Abstract
The article discusses controlled assessment as a new form of internal assessment and a required feature of Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCRs) General Course for Secondary Education (GCSE) in Applied Business, Business and Communications System and Business Studies. This form of assessment has replaced coursework and aims to develop students' investigative and reporting skills through structured and organized assessment activities. In addition, this process involves three stages, namely, task setting, task taking and task marking.
