- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examined the connection of lactase phlorizin hydrolase (LPH) rs4988235 with body height and bone parameters and calcium homeostasis in elderly Dutch Caucasian population and assessed the interaction with vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphisms. The study population were from the Rotterdam Study and the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA). It is concluded that population stratification resulted to associations observed with height and vertebral area.
