- Authors
Carpenter, Catherine L.
- Abstract
The article discusses the rule of the U.S. government for automatic sex offender registration and public notification of adults who committed criminal sexual acts when they were children. It argues that juvenile sex offender registration violates the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. constitution against cruel and unusual punishment. It adds the U.S. Supreme Court cases Miller v. Alabama and Graham v. Florida in which court held life sentence of juvenille offenders without parole.
