- Abstract
The article provides information on the work of photographer Eugene Atget in Paris, France. It states that Atget produces an incredible documentation of six to eight thousand negatives in the country from 1898 until his death in 1927. Moreover, it notes that Atget selected his materials carefully from the welter available to find spots in the city that retained the surfaces of the 19th century. According to photographer Man Ray, Atget worked with camera and brass rectilinear lens, in which he captured blurred figures that were not intentional. Photographer Berenice Abbott adds that Atget's work proves that photography is a cumulative medium.
