- Title
Expedited Injustice: The Problems Regarding the Current Law of Expedited Removal of Aggravated Felons.
- Authors
Kennedy, Andrew David
- Abstract
The article discusses the imbalance existing in the current law of expedited removal of aggravated felons in the U.S. It explores ways to change the law of aggravated felonies to protect the American people from the most serious law offenders without removing its human rights. It presents the history of aggravated felonies under American immigration law. It analyzes the tension between the competing interests of national security and the rights of individuals facing deportation. It proposes a solution that reconciles the competing interests and restricts the infinite expansion of the list of aggravated felonies.
