- Title
HERE LIES NANCY HILL?
- Authors
Duffin, Reg P.
- Abstract
The article presents information on a grave located north of Kemmerer, Wyoming and its occupant, Nancy Hill. The article draws on newspaper accounts and previously published information to explore the life and identity of Nancy Hill. The grave indicates that Hill passed away on July 5, 1852 and this has been confirmed through the diary of Dr. Waid Howard who was a member of a Montana-bound wagon train in the year 1865. The article also examines the process of determining where Nancy Hill's family left from.
