- Title
Nanomedicine: Downsizing tumour therapeutics.
- Authors
Cheng, Christopher J.; Saltzman, W. Mark
- Abstract
The article presents information on a study conducted by scientist Rakesh Jain and colleagues, which show that the delivery of small nanomedicines can be improved by repairing disordered blood vessels in tumours. The study reports that the efficacy of established anticancer nanoparticles can be improved by tumours preconditioned with vascular normalization. It informs that pores causes interstitial fluid pressure to increase that limits convective transport of nanoparticles.
