- Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges of codification of law in the U.S along with its effects on legislatures. Topics discussed include the history of U.S. codification, the changes brought by codification to court by changing the way of judges' interpretation of statutes, and the problem of over criminalization fostered by codification. It mentions the U.S Supreme Court decisions in case Citizens United v. F.E.C and legislators' transaction costs.
