- Abstract
The article provides a one-year examiner-blinded randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effect of specific resistance training (SRT) and all- around physical exercise (APE) on the reduction of neck and shoulder symptoms. The participants include 549 office workers allocated to one of three intervention groups such as group with SRT, with APE, and a reference group. It is concluded that physical-activity interventions, specifically SRT, are useful in reducing neck and shoulder symptoms.
