An 81-year-old man visited the emergency department (ED) with sudden onset of abdominal pain and cold sweating, which interrupted his sleep. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) demonstrated the curtain sign under the scissor maneuver, along with an enhanced peritoneal stripe sign (EPSS) (Figure 1a).
