- Abstract
The article presents the 1896 report of the librarian for the American Antiquarian Society which details acquisitions and other projects involving the society's collection. An excerpt from the article about the American Antiquarian Society by Mary Robinson which appeared in January 1896 issue of "American Historical Review" is presented. A reprint is presented of a July 31, 1834 letter from historian George Bancroft to Society member Christopher Columbus Baldwin, Esquire. Reports of mail fraud involving chain letters and postage stamps are related.
